Per Pettersen - Managing Partner
As co-founder and Managing Partner, Per Pettersen shares responsibility for company management and leadership of Estala with Managing Partners Roger Kjensrud and Marc Diana. Prior to the founding of Estalea, he served as a co-founder and and chief technology officer of Commission Junction, an online pay-for-performance advertising provider that rapidly became the world’s largest affiliate network. Per was part of the team that effected the sale of Commisison Junction to ValueClick (NASDAQ:VCLK), where he served as vice president of technology. From 1996 to 1998 Per founded and served as CEO for Active Internet Marketing, an e-commerce software solutions company that developed the proprietary software platform that Commission Junction utilizes. Today, in addition to his leadership role at Estala, Per is CEO of Impact Radius, an Estalea portfolio company. Per has a wide range of expertise from e-business product strategy, ASP software development management, general operational management, finance, and online marketing. He has served on the board of directors at both Commission Junction and inQ inc. (now TouchCommerce.com). Per earned his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and his master of science in computer engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Roger Kjensrud - Managing Partner
As co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Roger Kjensrud oversees and drives the technology vision of Estalea. Additionally, he serves as co-founder and CTO of Impact Radius, an Estalea portfolio company. Before Impact Radius, Roger served as director of engineering at Commission Junction, an online pay-for-performance advertising provider. Prior to that he served as engineering manager at ITT Industries (NYSE: ITT) in the Advanced Engineering & Sciences (AES) division. Roger also has senior engineering experience from Stanford Telecommunications, Inc. working on various digital communications projects for NASA. In 1996 he co-founded Active Internet Marketing, an e-commerce software solutions company, and headed the company’s IT functions. Roger earned his bachelor of science and masters of science degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to that he earned a bachelor of science degree in telecommunications from Gjøvik College of Engineering, Norway.
Marc Diana - Managing Partner
As co-founder and Managing Partner, Marc Diana shares responsibility for company management and leadership of Estala with Managing Partners Per Pettersen and Roger Kjensrud. In addition to his shared leadership role at Estalea, Marc is the CEO of LeadPoint, an Estalea portfolio company that leverages his extensive experience in the digital media arena. Previous to the co-founding of LeadPoint, Marc served as a founding member of LowerMyBills.com (sold to Experian) where as a business development executive he built the mortgage business by combining Ameriquest with online shortform lead generation. Prior to joining LowerMyBills Marc oversaw the development of new businesses and made early stage investments from Lagovent. A recognized internet expert, Marc has two decades of experience in online related businesses assisting companies such as Disney, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Mattel, Warner Bros, Electronic Arts, DirecTV and others. Marc holds a BA from Villanova University.
Michael Dubrow - Principal and Chief Partnership Officer
Michael Dubrow is a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded successful and enduring businesses in multiple industries. He joined Estalea in 2012 to provide its portfolio companies with strategic, marketing and business development consulting. Prior to joining Estalea Michael was the founder and CEO of Dubrow Marketing Associates, which crafted multi-million dollar online and offline distribution partnerships for leading membership companies in the US and Europe, including Vertrue and AEGON. Before that he was a co-founder of Bargain Network, Inc. (Bargain.com), a direct-to-consumer marketing organization that grew from a small startup into a $65 million exit eight years later. Also at this time, Michael co-founded inQ (now TouchCommerce.com), a pioneer in the online service bureau industry. Earlier, he co-founded two institutional investment firms: Chambers Dunhill Rubin & Co. (where he structured more than $10 billion in stable value investments for employee benefit plans and municipal bond issuers) and Vision Capital, Inc. (an SEC-registered investment advisor whose transactions included the reinvestment of $240 million in bond proceeds for the City of Philadelphia Justice Center).
